Flying since the age of just 1 1/2, George is an aviator, explorer, and award-winning educator who believes the sky is the greatest classroom on Earth. As founder of AeroVenture — twice named Best Flight School in the Nation by AOPA — he’s taught hundreds of student aviators to think clearly, act decisively, and fly with discipline, purpose, and a spirit of adventure.
In 2025, he received AOPA’s Distinguished Flight Instructor Award for his dedication to being a transformative educator and making flight training an unforgettable journey for his students. He is also a recipient of the National Science Teaching Association's Dr. Wendell G. Mohling Outstanding Aerospace Educator Award.
George shapes the future of aviation education on a national scale as a board member of the National Association of Flight Instructors, advising the FAA, nonprofits, and university programs about the best ways to improve how tomorrow’s aviators are trained, mentored, and inspired.
A Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, he holds an MSc in Aeronautics and an MBA in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is pursuing a Doctor of Aviation focused on education, safety, and human-machine teaming at the Florida Institute of Technology.
