Hi, I'm from Cuba and I've been living in Mexico for 8 years. I came to this wonderful country with a scholarship to study a master's degree in Education and Literature, after having studied Spanish-American literature in Havana, Cuba. Here I have made my home. Now I live in Mexico City, an exciting place.

Three years ago I decided to get certified to teach Spanish as a foreign language at the Cervantes Institute in Spain (the most important Spanish language institute in the world), because I started working in a language school and I realized that connecting with people from all over the world and helping them understand my language and the Hispanic culture made me feel very fulfilled.

As a foreigner in Mexico, even though I am about to obtain my citizenship here, every day I learn new words and phrases and realize how extraordinarily broad and diverse Spanish is.
