Nora Jane Long is an Emmy-nominated interdisciplinary creative whose work explores the intersection of nature and humanity. Spanning visual arts, poetic and non-fiction writing, and cinematic storytelling, she examines ecological systems, personal and collective memory, and the ephemeral nature of existence. Her work has been exhibited internationally, screened at festivals across the U.S. and abroad, and broadcast on PBS and Good Morning America.
Nora’s practice uses a multitude of mediums in a blend of documentary and experimental form, combining rigorous research and technical precision with an intuitive creative process to craft evocative, collaborative, socially conscious stories. Her projects have received support from PNC Bank, the Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund, the Simons Foundation, and Southern Exposure (among others). Nora holds an MFA in Film and Television Production from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
