It doesn’t matter when you start; what matters is that you start. Pilates offers more than just physical fitness—it nurtures a deep connection between mind and body.
Shamlates Virtual Mat Pilates classes are designed to provide you with guidance on how to perform each exercise correctly. During the session, I will instruct you on the specific movements and techniques, ensuring you get the most out of your workout. While I may not demonstrate all of the exercises live, I will closely monitor your form to ensure you're executing each move safely and effectively.
To achieve this, your camera must remain on throughout the class, allowing me to offer adjustments and cues as needed. This setup ensures that everyone in the class stays aligned with the practice, creating a supportive and engaging environment.
What kind of equipment do you need for class? For matwork, you will only need a thick yoga mat and bare feet (or grip socks). My recommendations for additional equipment are Magic Circle, a 9-inch Pilates ball, 1-3 pound dumbbells, ankle or wrist weights, a yoga block, and a foam roller.
