How it works:
VO2 max is the gold standard for measuring cardiovascular health, and we use state of the art equipment to get you the best results. You'll wear a mask (it looks like a C-PAP) and a heart rate monitor and either run on a treadmill or use a bike trainer - your choice based on what you're most comfortable with.
We do a Graded Exercise test which means we start at a low intensity and gradually increase each minute until you reach max exertion. That sounds scary, but it's really not too bad - you'll only be working for about 15 minutes, and only a few minutes of that will be at high intensity.
The Graded Exercise Test allows us to get clear readings on your heart rate and breathing data as intensity increases, which means we'll have data for all your heart rate zones, aerobic and anaerobic thresholds, max heart rate, and VO2 max.
