Have knitting or crochet queries or want to learn knitting at your own pace?
Make an appointment and drop in for a consultation with the staff at Yarning Hearts**.
Days for Knitting Consultation - Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat
Days for Crochet Consultation - Thurs, Sat
first hour - $35
subsequent half hour - $17.50
Save when you book packages! Enquire with the staff on duty on how you may lock in your consultation rates at a lower price with our packages.
5-Session Package - $150
10-Session Package - $250
**Consultation is dependent on available knowledge of staff. In the event a staff is not able to provide the consultation, it will be made known to the client.

Give your well-loved garments a second life—beautifully.
Inspired by traditional mending arts like Japanese Boro and Indian Kantha, as well as the resourceful ways of generations past, visible mending is more than just a repair—it's a celebration of stitches, stories, and sustainability.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to creatively mend holes, stains, and worn-out spots using simple embroidery and hand-stitching techniques. Whether it’s patching up a favourite tee or refreshing a faded fabric, you’ll walk away with the skills (and confidence!) to mend meaningfully.
✨ What you’ll learn:
– Creative mending techniques: patching, darning, and more
– Hand embroidery stitches: running stitch, whip stitch, blanket stitch, woven stitch
– Tips for extending the life of your personal pieces
🧵 You’ll also go home with a stitched sampler and plenty of ideas. Feel free to bring an item you’d like advice on mending!

No experience? No problem. This session is beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone curious about stitching.
