Panda Class T4 2023 Sat 8.10-8.50am
Panda Classes weekly during Term with Echo Laoshi on Zoom
Duration: 40 minutes
Panda Level
From our Mandarin for Kidz syllabus, we provide Panda classes, which are beginner level, aimed at ages 5-7 with little to no background in Chinese. From there, once they progress through 1-2 years with us, they can graduate to YCT level 1.
Term 4 has 10 weeks (10 classes at $28.50 per class), payable upfront, including the Panda Activity Book for $20 plus $16.50 postage and handling.
Echo Laoshi
Echo Laoshi has taught with us for 6 years! She has a gentle, nurturing approach that children respond to. She has taught online as well as in face to face classes over the years. She is originally from Guangzhou, and taught in a primary school there for over 13 years before coming to Australia in 2016.

YCT2 Classes weekly during Term with Danon Laoshi on Zoom
Duration: 60 minutes
YCT2 Level
YCT (Youth Chinese Test) is an internationally recognised syllabus that is designed for non-native Chinese speakers in primary through to secondary school. YCT Level 2 is a progression from YCT Level 1; builds on the vocab and confidence in conversational chinese. The ages of children ranges typically from 7 to 12. The target number of characters to learn is 150.
Term 4 has 10 weeks (10 classes at $37.50 per class), payable upfront. The YCT Activity and Course book are purchased once off and are used throughout the 4 terms of the year. Cost is $60 plus $16.50 postage and handling. We generally order these in at the start of the year so they are subject to availability if joining the YCT program after beginning of the year. We can make the ebooks available if books are not available, at the one off price of $15 per term. The materials will be invoiced separately to the cost of the classe.
Danon Laoshi
Danon Laoshi is a tenacious teacher and truly looks for the best in her students. She has been teaching with us for over 3 years and worked with a number of age groups. She loves to see them improve week by week provides great feedback on their homework. She lives in Sydney with her family.

YCT3 Classes weekly during Term with Danon Laoshi on Zoom
Duration: 60 minutes
YCT3 Level
YCT (Youth Chinese Test) is an internationally recognised syllabus that is designed for non-native Chinese speakers in primary through to secondary school. YCT level 1 can take older children as their introductory level also; ages range trypically from 6 to 9 years old. The target number of characters to learn is 300.
Term 4 has 10 weeks (10 classes at $37.50 per class), payable upfront. The YCT Activity and Course book are purchased once off and are used throughout the 4 terms of the year. Cost is $60 plus $16.50 postage and handling. We generally order these in at the start of the year so they are subject to availability if joining the YCT program after beginning of the year. YCT4 Level
YCT (Youth Chinese Test) is an internationally recognised syllabus that is designed for non-native Chinese speakers in primary through to secondary school. YCT level 4 is our intermediate level and ages typically range from 10 to 15 years old. The target number of characters to learn is 1200 characters over the course of the year.
Term 4 has 10 weeks (10 classes at $37.50 per class), payable upfront. The YCT Activity and Course book are purchased once off and are used throughout the 4 terms of the year. Cost is $60 plus $16.50 postage and handling. We generally order these in at the start of the year so they are subject to availability if joining the YCT program after beginning of the year. Cindy Laoshi
Cindy Laoshi is an accomplished Mandarin teacher, having taught for over 2 years, and prior to obtaining her Master of Arts in Chinese-English Translation in 2009, taught English in China. She has a tender but firm approach which works well with the students! She lives with her family in Sydney.

YCT5 Level
YCT (Youth Chinese Test) is an internationally recognised syllabus that is designed for non-native Chinese speakers in primary through to secondary school. YCT level 5 is our more advanced level and ages typically range from 11 to 16 years old. The target number of characters to learn is 2500 characters over the course of the year.
Term 4 has 10 weeks (10 classes at $37.50 per class), payable upfront. The YCT Activity and Course book are purchased once off and are used throughout the 4 terms of the year. Cost is $60 plus $16.50 postage and handling. We generally order these in at the start of the year so they are subject to availability if joining the YCT program after beginning of the year. Suzanne Laoshi
Suzanne Laoshi is an accomplished teacher with a Masters in Interpretation and Translation (2009) and extensive experience in the education industry. She enjoys engaging the little ones and seeing them enjoy learning the language. Suzanne is originally from China and now lives in Sydney.
