During the In-Person Appointment: Meet the Notary: Arrive at the designated location for your appointment. (your house, your office, a mutually agreed-upon location)Verification: Present your identification to the notary.Sign the Document: Sign the document in the notary's presence.Oath/Affirmation (if required): If the document requires it, the notary will administer an oath or affirmation.Notarial Certificate: The notary will complete the notarial certificate on the document. This is the notary's section that confirms the notarization process.Journal Entry: The notary will record the notarization in their journal, noting details such as your identification method, the document, and the notarial act performed.Apply Notary Seal: The notary will affix their official seal or stamp to the document.Payment: Pay the notary fee.Receive Document: Receive your notarized document.
