Together, you and Jay will review a set of your chosen images. He will provide feedback and suggestions and answer any questions you might have. These sessions are more casual and take the form of two friends chatting about their work. The images can be of any photography type or a mix of types. Intro to Commercial & Brand Photography
This session focuses on learning how to utilize your photography skills commercially for brands and magazines. It can either take the form of a Q&A discussion geared toward your specific questions or a more structured presentation on some of the strategies, theories, and ideas Jay uses to work commercially and create commercial shoots for diving, travel, and outdoor recreation brands.Price: $250 USD. Composition & Visual Storytelling Crash Course
This classroom session teaches you how to create stunning compositions and visual stories. We start with a basic introduction to visual storytelling and work through 5 different visual storytelling and composition tools to prepare you to take your shots to the next level. The course also helps you build your own internal shot list so that when that amazing encounter happens, you are ready to capture it in an instant.Price: $250 USD. Duration: 1-2hrs
Intro to Underwater Lighting (Strobes & Video lights)
This session introduces you to using artificial lights underwater, such as strobes or video lights. We’ll look at why lights are beneficial, how to use them, how to shoot them in manual mode as well as TTL, proper placement, how to minimize Backscatter, and review various light placement options to fit different styles of shots and scenes.Price: $250 USD. Complete Online Underwater Workshop Package
This package includes four 2-hour workshop sessions to help you quickly hit the ground running — Underwater Photography Basics, Intro to Underwater Lighting, Composition & Visual Storytelling, and Intro to Lightroom Editing & Workflows. It also includes 3 on-trip guidance sessions (15-30 mins each) and 1 photo review and feedback session (1hr). When selecting your dates, you can choose to schedule all 4 sessions now or schedule some now and the rest later. The on-trip guidance and photo review sessions we will discuss during our first session then work together to figure out the best time for them -- so you do not need to select those now. Price: $1200
