Quick answer

TidyCal is the best scheduling app for astrologers and tarot readers who charge for their time. Clients pay when they book, with packages and subscriptions on the Free plan, and Individual Lifetime is $29 once. Pick Acuity Scheduling if you sell gift certificates or run a waitlist, and Calendly if you run inbound sales on Salesforce or HubSpot.

The questions that make the reading possible

Four questions on the natal chart reading. The birth date uses a real date picker.

  1. Birth date On: Natal chart reading
  2. Birth time (as exact as you can; say if unknown) On: Natal chart reading
  3. Birth city and country On: Natal chart reading
  4. Anything you want us to focus on? On: Natal chart reading

Ask them to say "unknown" if they do not know the birth time. You would rather know that the night before than find out on the call.

Four readings, all paid at booking

Here is how an astrologer who also reads tarot might set it up. North Node is made up; the prices are middle of the market.

Booking type Length Price Type What it is for
Natal chart reading 75 min $180 Paid The big one. You prep the chart the night before.
Yearly forecast 60 min $150 Paid Popular around birthdays and New Year.
Tarot reading (30 min) 30 min $60 Paid One question, one spread.
Tarot reading (60 min) 60 min $110 Paid For bigger decisions.

Example prices. Charge what you charge.

Require 48 hours' notice on chart readings. A good natal reading takes prep, and the client who books for "in two hours" is buying a worse reading.

Our take, from the TidyCal team

Clients all over the world

Astrology clients come from Instagram and TikTok, which means London, Sydney and Toronto in the same week. Your booking page shows each of them your hours in their own time zone. You set 10am to 6pm New York time once; a client in London sees 3pm to 11pm.

The confirmation email and reminders show the time in their zone too, so nobody logs in to Zoom an hour early.

Payment is taken at booking through Stripe or PayPal, in the price you set. No more "I will send it after" DMs.

Handling tarot and mediumship readings

Tarot and mediumship clients usually want something sooner than chart clients. Keep minimum notice short on those, 2 to 12 hours, and keep 48 hours on the chart work that needs prep.

A 30-minute and a 60-minute reading side by side does most of the selling. People who are not sure pick the short one, and a good chunk of them come back for the long one.

How we checked

Every competitor price comes from that company's own pricing page, read on September 30, 2026, at the billing period shown next to it. Tools with no published price we could verify carry no dollar figure. The ranking is for astrologers and tarot readers who take bookings and charge for some of them. Nobody paid to be on this list. TidyCal's prices come straight from the plans we sell, so they match what you will pay, and the 1% platform fee on Stripe bookings is the live rate.

Questions astrologers and tarot readers ask us

Can I collect birth date, time and place when someone books?

Yes. Add intake questions to the booking type. There is a date field for the birth date and text fields for time and place. Answers come with the booking.

Will international clients see the right time?

Yes. The booking page shows your availability in each visitor's own time zone, and confirmations use their time zone too.

Can I sell recorded readings or reports?

Yes. The digital storefront sells PDFs, videos and other files with Stripe checkout. It is on every plan.

What does TidyCal cost?

The Free plan is $0 and includes paid bookings. Individual Lifetime is $29 one time. Pro is $12 a month or $99 a year and removes TidyCal branding.

Can I offer the same reading at different lengths?

Yes. Make one booking type per length, like 30 and 60 minutes, each with its own price. They sit side by side on one page.
