How to migrate from SavvyCal to TidyCal

About 40 minutes for 3 to 5 scheduling links. No importer: you export, then rebuild.

Quick answer

Export your events from SavvyCal as a CSV, rebuild each scheduling link as a TidyCal booking type, swap your links, then cancel SavvyCal. SavvyCal keeps your links working until the end of the paid period, so cancel close to the date your last SavvyCal meeting happens.

What comes across, and what doesn't

Before you start

  • Check the date your SavvyCal billing period ends. Your SavvyCal links stop working after it.
  • Open SavvyCal's own migration checklist, linked under sources. Its list of places your link lives is a good one.

Step 1: Export your SavvyCal events

Open the Events page in SavvyCal and use the export button at the top right. The CSV has each event's state, start and end, location, organizer, and the scheduler's name, email, phone and answers.

Step 2: Create a free TidyCal account and connect your calendar

Sign up, set Your link under Bookings page settings, then add your Google, Microsoft 365 or Apple account under Integrations > Calendars. Turn the Reading switch on for each calendar TidyCal should check for conflicts.

Step 3: Rebuild each scheduling link

Go to Booking types > New booking type and use the map below. If a SavvyCal link offered several durations, make one TidyCal booking type per length.

Step 4: Test and swap your links

Book yourself from a private window with a second email address. Then replace your SavvyCal link everywhere: signature, website, bios and email templates. If you used SavvyCal's embed script, remove it and use TidyCal's Embed on website code. TidyCal embeds inline on the page, with no popup button.

Step 5: Pause your SavvyCal links, then cancel

Pause each SavvyCal link so it stops taking bookings. Cancel at savvycal.com/billing. SavvyCal's pricing page says your plan runs to the end of the period, then "we'll deactivate your links but keep your data around". Delete the account only if you do not want that data kept.

On TidyCal's Free and lifetime plans, Stripe bookings carry a 1% platform fee on top of Stripe's own. Pro has none, and PayPal bookings carry none.

Questions people ask

Can TidyCal import from SavvyCal?

No. TidyCal's only importer is for Calendly. Export your events from SavvyCal and rebuild your scheduling links with the map on this page.

Do my SavvyCal links keep working after I cancel?

Until the end of the period you paid for. After that, SavvyCal deactivates them but keeps your data unless you delete the account.

Does TidyCal have SavvyCal's calendar overlay?

No. Invitees see your open times in their own time zone, but cannot lay their calendar over yours. If that is the reason you use SavvyCal, stay on it.
